Initial consultations typically last about 10 to 20 minutes. Consultations are a time for me to get to know you and what you’re looking for in a therapist. This time is crucial and allows us to figure out if we’re a good fit for each other. If you would be a better fit for a different therapist, I’m not afraid to tell you! I want you to be served by the best possible therapist for you.

Individual sessions usually last for 45 to 55 minutes, and we work together to process what is best for you each session. If our session happens to go over 60 minutes, pricing changes, and you can find that information here.

Intake sessions are an essential part of your therapy experience and are significantly longer than individual sessions. During intake, we complete a thorough assessment called a biopsychosocial that gives me an overview of your life experiences, your current concerns, and your therapeutic goals.

 Payment FAQs

  • For self-pay clients, you can pay for sessions with a credit/debit card through Ivy Pay. For those using insurance (except Optum plans and Tricare - you will use Ivy Pay), you will have access to Headway, and you will set-up all of the billing information there.

  • I do accept a few different insurances, which can be found on my Psychology Today profile here.

I also accept clients who choose to forego the health insurance process due to high copays, lack of coverage, or need for therapy immediately. If you are a private pay client, we can get started right away without any barriers, like authorization from your insurance, verification of your benefits, or waiting periods from your insurer.

Additionally, our sessions can unfold organically without any interference or any set agenda. This means that I don't have to justify our work together or rely on a diagnosis to continue our therapeutic relationship.

  • I am more than happy to provide a superbill if your health insurance offers out-of-network reimbursement for services.
